Everyday’s Same For Him

ā€‹”Mom, look how beautiful the houses look.” he said with gleaming eyes full of unsaid dreams

“Yeah, son. They are.” she said

“Where are we going mom?” he said

“We are going to buy utensils as it’s Dhanteras.” she said looking at him with a smile

And he was more than happy to know that they were buying something. He was very much like other kids of his age. Pure and innocent. Who knew nothing of the bad world. He waited for every festival just to celebrate them.

Years later, he got to knew the reality. Now, the zeal to celebrate the festivals had died. For him, everyday was same. He waited for the festivals no more.

Growing up, something died in him…

  1. Reality has many colors, and if seen properly you dun have to wait for festivals, each day can be celebrated šŸ™‚
But yes sometime something happens and you just feel zeal-less.
I wish while growing up people don’t give up living:)

  2. I can resonate so well with this. The only thing that can be felt is drained energy, and the strange thing is don’t even feel like getting out of this! This was just another day for me as well..!

  3. If you cannot enjoy Festivals, then fine, try doing something you like better, like travelling, painting, writing.
But Festivals is common for everyone round the earth. It is just a “time to spend together”, not really has to be “A Celebration”.
Try looking at Festivals from another angle.

  4. If not happy, there is nothing to feel sad about either. šŸ™‚
Festivals are just a means to get back with our closed one. And yeah don’t forget to be grateful to the holidays that we enjoy cause of them. šŸ˜‰
