Her Last Words

He was sad that she was leaving him. He understood completely the reason behind this decision of hers. She knew exactly how he was feeling. She came close to him and he looked into her eyes. His deep dark brown eyes seemed mostly black and she was absolutely in love with his eyes. She could spend her entire life looking at those eyes. The subtle hint of tears in his eyes was visible to her.

“Puneet, we both are mature enough to understand the implications of taking our relationship ahead. It will destroy you first and I won’t ever let that happen. You showed d me how beautiful love is. You picked up the pieces of my broken heart and put them together. You took my pain away. I was broken because of what happened in my life but you came and slowly made a place for yourself in my heart. You made me fall for you and the moment I knew this, I was ecstatic. To be in love with your best friend is one of the best feelings in the world. You made me smile when I had forgotten how to live. You were a dream come true. I never knew black eyes were my favourite until I looked into yours. I know you aren’t perfect. I love everything about you, even your insecurities because without them, you wouldn’t be you. I am so damn obsessed with you. You will always be in my heart. I am sorry that I couldn’t be yours in this life but I promise to be yours in next one. I can go on and on giving words to my feelings but I know even words will cease to exist after sometime because the feelings I have for you are infinite.”

She came closer to him and planted a kiss on his lips. Her thumb then felt the softness of his lips and she felt her will power losing. She had to stop so that she could bid the final goodbye.
